The 14th RENTA Oberelbe-marathon is official measured and performed after determinations of the DLV.

Our age-classification is according to DLO (minimum-age 18 for marathon!)

There´s no fee for the Minimarathon.
*Date of online-registration or postmark.

The only kind to pay is a one-time direct debit authorization. No other kind of payment is allowed. Starters of foreign countries will pay the competition fee cash at the marathon fair on May 6th / 7th at the World Trade-Centre. The fee depends on the date of registration.

Deadline is April 23rd 2011 (postmark)!
Late registration or changing the distance is only possible at the fair on May 6th / 7th 2011 at the World Trade Centre.
The late-fee (except mini-marathon) amounts 5, - EUR.

We are not sending you a confirmation of the registration. If we have your e-mail-address, we will send you a confirmation via e-mail. There is a weekly updated list of all registered competitors in the internet. Please note, that the registration is only confirmed after we received the competition fee from your account (this may take a few days).

ATTENTION!
There is no payback of the fee if you can´t participate the marathon or switch to a shorter track, no matter what reason.

The first 3 women and men finishing the marathon will get a cash prize (500 €, 300 €, 200 €).
We award special cash prizes for new course records (men 2:25:00; women 2:50:42) the first place gets 300 €. For reaching a time beneath 2:22 and 2:50 the first place gets 300 €.
For reaching a new course record at the Lichtenauer half marathon (men 1:07:46, women: 1:25:49) we award 150 € for the first place (men and women). We reserve to also award prizes at the Lichtenauer half marathon.

We will have an intermediate score at the 18 km-mark on the market place in Pirna, powered by Stadtwerke Pirna GmbH and Gasversorgung Pirna GmbH. We award the “Große Preis von Pirna” for the first woman and the first man who are passing the mark. Requirement is passing the finishing-line within the first 10 men or women.

The first 3 women and men finishing marathon, Lichtenauer half marathon and Molkerei Alois Müller 10-km-run will get a goblet, a document, prizes in kind and flowers. For the marathon-distance also the first 3 male/female in every age group will receive a prize in kind, document and flowers.
The prizes for walking are a lottery. All participants (included walking), who reach the finish, will get a personal document.

We are publishing the first and unofficial results in the finishing-area, also at the same day in the internet on our homepage. After checking and adjustment of the measurement we will publish the official times. You will get your copy of the results at the beginning of July 2011.

EVERY finisher (including minimarathon) and walker will receive a medal.

We will have time measurement (mini-marathon and company cup only net-time) for every running distance. We will have your gross- and your net-time.

You will get a transponder which you have to wear on your ankle! Otherwise there´s no time-measurement! There are volunteers at the finish to get your transponder. There´s no fee for the transponder.
Runners, who don´t reach the finish or can´t start: please return the transponder to the volunteers or at the information or send it back until May 15th 2011. If we don´t get your transponder, we will charge 80 EUR to your bank account!

Please place the competition number visible on your chest. It is not allowed to blank the sponsor-logos.

It is prohibited to accompany the runners and walker by bike. If you break the rule, the accompanied runner will be disqualified at once with no chance of getting back. On the entire distance control posts are appointed.

The finish area is in the Heinz-Steyer-stadium, close to the Semperoper and “Church of the Lady” (Frauenkirche) in the centre of Dresden.
We close the finish at 3:30 pm!

We have sufficent changing rooms, showers and sanitary in the finishing-area at the Freiberger Arena about 300 m from the finish (please follow the signs!).

We will have time-runners for Marathon (3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15 and 4:30 hours) and half marathon (1:30, 1:45 and 2:00 hours). They will have a light shirt with time print on it!

We are offering tea at all starts and tea and water ca. every 5 km. Starting from km 10 additionally we have different kind of fruit, as well as starting from km 20 isotonic beverages and energy bars from “ultra sport”. We are also offering additional water-points at km 24 and 40,5.
You can have beer at km 38!!!

In the finishing area we are offering water, tea, coke, isotonic-beverages and non-alcoholic Erdinger beer for the first treatment.

All participants will get 1 serve of pasta for free at the day of the marathon in the finishing area. You will find the coupon attached to your starting number.
You can also buy pasta at the marathon fair.

Along the course and in the finishing the medical support is secured by “Malteser Hilfsdienst”. We have doctors at km 35 (1) and at the finish (2). All catering points are informed and work as point of approach with injuries.

Luggage transport is secured from start to finish for all distances.

There will be a service in Königstein. Please ask at the fair the concrete time and place.

We offer massage at the finish-area.

A big “THANK YOU” again to Deutsche Bahn AG! They offer a time-frame for crossing the railway-track at kilometer 5. This will be enough time for all runners to cross without a stop!

With collaboration of Contag GmbH especially for all participants of the 14th  RENTA Oberelbe-Marathon and their company there´s an amount of cultural offers within the city and the whole region. We will publish them at the end of 2010 at www.oberelbe-marathon.de.

In collaboration with Uniklinikum Dresden we are offering the possibility for a medical checkup. You will find the details in September 2010 on our homepage.

We will have the 5th symposium on Saturday, May 7th 2011 in frame of the marathon fair at the World-Trade-Centre. You will find the program contemporary on our homepage www.oberelbe-marathon.de. The program is going to be led by Dr. Bernd Melzer from Dresdner Laufsportladen.

For relatives and interested people we are offering an extra chartered steamship from Königstein to Dresden to accompany the runners on. Price is between 11 and 21 EUR.
The steamship leaves about 9:15 a.m., arrives about 1.15 p.m. Tickets and more information: tel. +49-172-3528662 or kontakt(at)oberelbe-marathon.de.

We will have our photo-partner Carnagon Ltd. take pictures from every runner at about 1 km before the finish. You can buy the pictures for 5 € at the finishing area or order already at the fair. These high quality pictures will be printed on a special marathon-layout, so this will be a nice souvenir.

You can buy souvenirs of the Oberelbe-Marathon in frame of the fair and at the finishing-area.

We have a special form on www.oberelbe-marathon.de where you can leave your cell phone-number. Right after finishing you will receive a sms with your time and placement to this number.
It´s also possible to watch your personal finishing clip on our homepage at “Ergebnisse”.
You can order a DVD with your finishing clip, results, documentary, pictures and other interesting information.

The RENTA Oberelbe-Marathon belongs to the SALOMON GORE-TEX TRAIL-RUNNINGCUP. The valuation for the cup is the marathon (only marathon in this series!).

There will be more than 10 musicians (Samba, Jazz, Dixie) along the track and at the finishing area for good mood and motivation.

public transportation system:
There are special trains and busses next to the usual schedule at the track Dresden – Pirna.

Königstein (start marathon):
suburban train S1 from Dresden Hauptbahnhof (main station), takes 50 minutes

Pirna (start Lichtenauer half marathon):
suburban train S1 from Dresden Hauptbahnhof (main station), takes 30 minutes, get out on “Heidenau-Großsedlitz” (about 500 meters to the start) or “Pirna”. There´s a shuttle-service from Pirna to the half-marathon-start.

Dresden (start Molkerei Alois Müller 10-km, minimarathon and team-race: 
Schillergarten/Fährgarten Johannstadt: busses from Heinz-Steyer-stadium leaving at 8:00 o`clock or use the public transportation at usual schedule.

Your starting-number is also your ticket for public transportation within VVO (except special transportation) and valid on May 8th 2011. (VVO = Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe)

Because of the very limited parking spaces in Pirna and Königstein we recommend the using of the suburban train!

There are many parking spaces around the stadium. Please follow the signs, the police and volunteers.

The cycle track will be closed for public, especially for cyclists at the day of the marathon.

get out at “Dresden Hauptbahnhof” (main station) / take tram 7 or 10 to “Freiberger Straße” (about 1 kilometer)

car:
Take motorway A4 from Chemnitz – exit “Dresden Altstadt” – B6 towards “Zentrum”
or
motorway A9 from Berlin – exit “Dresden Nord” – B170 towards “Zentrum”
